Overall Purpose of this Position:
Group Financial Manager's role is very strategy~ and is need of a dynamic financial manager to take charge of the team and
Implement effective controls and systems within the Group of companies .
Duties & Responsibility
Major roles and responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
Reporting to the Group Managing Director (GMD) responsible for facilitating and ensuring budgetary control, making recommendations to encourage the continuous improvement of financial performance and implementing relevant policies within the business
Overseeing the production of commerciality astute management information and analysis to support the business Preparation of the Group's Divisions monthly profit and loss accounts
Work with the GMD to review potential disposals and acquisitions
Ensure high standards of financial control are maintained throughout
Overseeing the production of the year end statutory financial statements and management accounts throughout the Group and its operating companies
Management of group and board reporting Working Capital management
Overall management of the finance team
Managing company policies regarding capital requirements, debt, taxation, equity and acquisitions, as appropriate Ensuring that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met regarding all the company's financial affairs Formulating financial targets and budgets in accordance with the strategy determined by the board
Ad Hoc project based accounting
Desired Skills and Experience
Must be a Qualified Accountant i.e. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA
Minimum 8 years post articles financial management experience in a medium to large corporate/financial services environment
First class communication skills and be proficient with Microsoft Excel
Demonstration of commercial acumen in areas of improving business performance at a strategic and practical level as opposed to Simply reporting numbers
Excellent eye for detail, diligent knowledge of accounting regulations
Capabilities to supervise, manage and lead staff and excellent commercial flair and industry experience.
