Qualifications and experience
Holders of BSc. Degree in Physics and Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Physics and Mathematics.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Assists in all aspects pertaining to calibration and quality management
• Assists in studying and implementing laboratory safety procedures and regulations
• Assists in preparing quality manual, procedures and calibration methods
• Assists in preparing, publicizing and disseminating technical tests and calibration information
• Assists in carrying out routine calibrations
• Assists in developing and evaluating calibration systems
• Assists in identifying magnitude of error sources contributing to uncertainty of results to determine reliability of measurement process in quantitative terms
• Any other related duties as may be assigned by the Head of SectionCalculating agreed performance measures, utilizing efficient and effective business intelligence and reporting
• Participates in the development and implementation of marketing activities to maintain and develop business relations with clients
• Performs any other related duties as may be assigned by the Head of Section>• Coordinates preparation of monthly and quarterly departmental reports
• Initiates the updating and review of standards
• Oversees updating and review of procedures and manuals
• Works closely with heads of sections under the department to ensure that the highest standards of quality and service are achieved and maintained
• Organizes and coordinates training related to packaging technology
• Identifies potential areas for assisting SMEs to improve the quality of packaging to facilitate trade
• Any other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Testing, Calibration and Packaging Services
REMUNERATION
