JOB PURPOSE
To be responsible for maintenance of all high voltage transmission lines network 66kV and above, maintenance of towers, conductors and accessories in order to maintain reliability and quality of power supply to dispatching centres and advice on safe, efficient, effective and economic solutions to improve maintenance of the lines infrastructure of the National Grid. Also to participate in new transmission infrastructure construction works
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
To prepare and update maintenance schedules for the regional transmission lines network.
To participate and Supervise transmission line infrastructure maintenance, rehabilitation as well as construction activities
To plan and design modifications and construction methodology of transmission lines infrastructure.
To carry out periodic transmission lines infrastructure inventories and produce reports
To track and records the maintenances on infrastructure for necessary input to Asset Management database.
To attend emergency faults occurring on the transmission lines supporting regional transmission teams
To carry out thermograph inspection on transmission infrastructure and plan for remedial measures thereof.
QUALIFICATION, ATTRIBTES AND EXPERIENCE
Full Technician Certificate (FTC) or Diploma in Civil or Electrical Engineering from accredited Institution.
Registered Technician with Engineers Registration Board) ERB) is an added advantage
Other Attributes
Civil or Electrical works experience for about 2 years
Computer literacy
Ability to work diligently and independently
Exhibits high standards of business and personal ethical conduct
Self driven to improve own knowledge, skills and attitudes.
Good at Kiswahili and English both speaking and writing.

Ability to learn fast and adapt to changes. Willingness and ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
