POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Introduction
Tancoal Energy Limited was established to explore and develop the vast Ngaka coal fields located near Songea in southwest Tanzania. Tancoal has developed a coal mining operation at Ngaka and will supply feed-stock to a thermal coal-fired power station to be constructed. .
Tancoal welcomes candidates to apply to the company to fill the below mentioned role.
Position Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanics (6 posts)
Reports to: Maintenance Superintendent
Job Location: Songea/Ngaka Mining site or other sites throughout Tanzania and bordering countries.
Responsibilities
Carry out daily general inspection of machines,
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance activities on equipment, Troubleshoot and repair equipment,
Evaluate and make recommendations regarding repairs and maintenance, Follow the guidelines set out by management, and
Enforcing management policies including safety and environmental guidelines.
Requirements .
Grade one certificate or equivalent. A full technician certificate will be an added advantage. Successful applicant(s) will have at least 5 years of relevant work experience
He/she should be able to operate and maintain all types of earthmoving equipment Must have welding and fabrication skills.
Valid driving licence
Environment and safety knowledge Knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulics strong communication skills
