Megatrade Investment Limited, a leading producer and distributor of distilled spirits (Kiroba
and K-Vant Gin) based in Arusha is seeking highly motivated, detailed oriented and flexible
individuals to join our growing team in the following capacity:
STOREKEEPER (2 POSTS)
The primary role of the Storekeeper is to control and monitor movement of all materials
delivered to and issued from the company’s storehouse.
Key responsibilities:
• Exercises general control of store administration, receiving, issuing, storage,
preservation, recording and reporting status of materials in the company’s storehouse.
• Responsible for the safekeeping of all material in the company’s storehouse in terms of
both quality and quantity of materials.
• Ensures store system is operated in an efficient and safe manner, and ensures efficient
utilization of available storage space.
• Receives and inspects all incoming material and reconciles with purchase orders:
reports, documents and tracks damages and discrepancies on orders received, and
arranges for appropriate storage.
• Maintains record of approved documents: receives and stores documents and confidential
files relating to material in storehouse.
• Initiates purchase requisitions for the replacement of stock of all regular stores items
whenever the stock level of any item in storehouse approaches the minimum limit fixed.
• Initiates action for stoppage of further purchasing when the stock level approaches the
maximum limit.
• Issues materials only in required quantities against authorised requisition notes/material
lists and in a timely manner. • Maintains the records area and stores area in a neat and orderly manner at all times.
• Maintains up-to-date and accurate inventory records and submits daily reports to
Accounts department.
• Conducts and prepares monthly stocktaking, stock reports and reconciliation.
• Performs any other relevant duties as may be assigned from time to time by supervisor.
Qualifications
Educated to a degree/advanced diploma level in material/stores management or supply chain
management and procurement from a reputable university or institute.
Skills/Experience
§ A minimum of 2 years exceptional experience in a similar position
§ Good command of written and spoken English
§ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
